Martin Roscoe

Martin Roscoe is a highly respected and beloved pianist in the UK, known for his versatility and musicianship.

He has an extensive repertoire of over 100 concertos that he has performed or recorded, and regularly works with some of the country's leading orchestras, including the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Northern Chamber Orchestra, and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has also performed with orchestras such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle, Sir Mark Elder, Gianandrea Noseda, and Christoph von Dohnányi. In addition to his concerto performances, Martin is a frequent recitalist and chamber musician, and tours the UK regularly, with regular appearances at Wigmore Hall and Kings Place.

He has collaborated with many musicians, including Peter Donohoe, Kathryn Stott, Tasmin Little, and the Endellion and Maggini Quartets, as well as more recent partnerships with Jennifer Pike, Liza Ferschtman, and the Brodsky and Carducci Quartets.

He was a member of the Cropper Welsh Roscoe Trio from 2005 to 2016, and has made over 600 broadcasts, including seven BBC Prom appearances.

He has also recorded for labels such as Hyperion, Chandos, and Naxos, and has received critical acclaim for his recording of the complete Beethoven piano sonatas on the Deux-Elles label.

In addition to his performing career, Martin is Professor of Piano at the Guildhall School of Music in London and holds a Fellowship there.

He also enjoys spending time in the English Lake District and the Scottish Highlands, where he can enjoy the outdoors and engage in hill-walking.
