Peter Cigleris is a highly sought-after clarinetist and chamber musician. He has appeared on BBC Radio Three's "In Tune" program, as well as performing live for the BBC in the Radio Three lunchtime recital.
Peter has given concerts at various festivals and music clubs across the UK, such as the Windsor and Wooburn Festival and the English Music Festival. He has also performed internationally at the Groba Festival in Spain, as well as in France, the Netherlands, and the US.
Peter has given concerto performances in Belgium, Italy, Romania, and Mexico, where he also gave the Mexican premiere of Malcolm Arnold's Second Clarinet Concerto.
Peter has a growing discography as a solo recording artist, including the recent release "Rediscovered" on the Cala Signum label, featuring four British clarinet concertos, three of which are world premiere recordings. He has also appeared on discs for Cala Records, Heritage Records, and Toccata Classics.
As an orchestral player, Peter has worked with several well-known English orchestras and has held the principal clarinet seat with the Symphony Orchestra of India. He has studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire and Royal College of Music, where he was awarded the Prix de Fossat.
In addition to maintaining a private teaching studio, Peter also serves as a tutor on the Exmouth Summer School.
