Join us for an afternoon of music with the internationally celebrated pianist, Marco Fatichenti. Marco has captivated audiences in the highly regarded concert halls of Europe and the United States with his performances testament to his mastery of the piano.

Renowned for his exceptional musical insight and expressive interpretations, Marco is hailed as "none other than Chopin incarnate" by Hilary Finch of The Times. His unique and refreshing perspective on Brahms, lauded by the International Record Review, gives a glimpse of a southern European take on the German Romantic tradition. Marco's knack for ‘’balancing Romantic turbulence with Classical order’’ has been recognised and celebrated by International Piano.

His academic pedigree is equally impressive, holding a doctorate from King’s College London. His research on early-twentieth-century performance practices, particularly those in Spain during the Civil War, adds to his rich musical insight. Moreover, Marco's dedication to his craft goes beyond his personal performances; he is a passionate educator.

The programme for the afternoon spans a vibrant array of pieces:

  • Start off with Beethoven’s Five Variations on the theme ‘Rule Britannia’ followed by the emotional depths of his Piano Sonata in D Major, Op 10 No 3.
  • Enter the evocative world of Debussy with 3 Preludes from Book 1.
  • Experience the vitality of Spain with Granados' Spanish Dances: Galante, Oriental, Andaluza.
  • End with the powerful drama of R Schumann’s Kreisleriana, Op 16.

Presently based in Tokyo, Marco continues to be an influential figure in the world of music, performing as both a recitalist and a chamber musician. His innovative ‘International Piano Academy by MF’ fosters and prepares the next generation of talented pianists for their exciting journey in the music profession.
